EV charging options
There are now options for hosts to install either a level 1 or level 2 EV charger and be paid by the guests when they use it to charge their cars. All you need is a charger with wifi compatibility and a software system that allows you to pass charges on to the guest.
Level 1 Charging
We know of one level 1 charging system for Australian and New Zealand homeowners called Alchemy Charge. This system uses a smart point 3-pin plug with Wi-Fi connectivity and an app that allows a host to set a rate for charging a car. This allows an EV driver to slowly charge their car when staying with you and pay you for the power they use and it is very cost-effective when compared to level 2 chargers. If you have guests who stay for 2 or more nights this could be all they need to keep their car charged while staying with you. It allows you to welcome guests safely and cost-effectively. Level 2 Charging
